Can You Rent a Car with CASCO in Moldova?
No, and it is not a PlusRent rule: in Moldova, no local rental company has CASCO on its cars. We simply say so openly and do not sell what does not exist.
Nothing to worry about, just a rule worth knowing in advance. If another driver hits you and it is their fault, you pay nothing. For the rest, careful driving makes all the difference.
In short: in Moldova, local car rental companies do not have CASCO on their rental cars, none of them. The cars have only RCA, the compulsory insurance. RCA spares you from paying in one case only: another driver hits you and it is their fault. Then their RCA repairs the car and you pay nothing. If the accident is your fault, you pay to repair both cars: the rental car and the car you hit. Scratches, poles and kerbs are on you as well. Questions about CASCO and RCA on rental cars
Can I rent a car with CASCO in Moldova?
Not from local car rental companies in Moldova, none of them, not only PlusRent. Their cars have only RCA, the compulsory insurance. If someone promises you CASCO or "full insurance", ask for the policy in writing, with the insurer's name and the excess, and read the company's reviews.
What is RCA and what does it cover?

Is the PlusRent car's RCA valid in Transnistria?
Yes. The RCA on PlusRent cars is valid in Tiraspol and the rest of Transnistria, and there is no extra charge for driving a rental car there.
